Common Faults and Elimination Methods of Heat Exchanger
Mar 10,2024
The temperature difference between the outlet and inlet of the heat exchanger is large, the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet is large, and the temperature of the condensate is high, and the heat exchange is insufficient. The blockage of the waterway causes the reduction of the water circulation flow of the heat exchanger, and the reduction of the heat transfer coefficient, etc. How to solve these failures? Today, Reid Thermal Energy will discuss and solve them with you.
Faults prone to occur during 1. operation
1. Steam-water impact in steam pipeline
During the initial steam delivery of the steam pipeline, the steam exchanges heat with the pipe wall to generate part of the condensed water, which fluctuates as the condensed water encounters resistance during the process of steam advancement to form an impact. As long as the condensate is discharged in time, the impact will soon be reduced or not formed. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully formulate the steam delivery regulations during the initial steam delivery, strictly control the temperature rise rate of the pipeline, discharge condensate in time, and prevent water hammer. In the process of sending steam, if the condensate trap due to blockage or other reasons do not discharge condensate, should immediately stop sending steam, to be treated after sending. When the sound of water hammer is heard during the steam delivery, the steam delivery shall be stopped or the water discharge shall be increased rapidly, and the steam delivery shall be continued after the sound of water hammer is eliminated and the condensed water is discharged. Do not close the drain valve after hearing water hammering to avoid system damage.
2. Damage of pressure reducing valve
Pressure reducing valve with a bypass, in the operation should be the bypass valve open, so that the pressure reducing valve before and after the full preheating, otherwise easy to cause the pressure reducing valve before and after the temperature difference is too large, damage the pressure reducing valve. After normal operation, close the bypass valve. When the heat exchanger is supplied with steam, remember to preheat the pipeline first, and the steam shall not be supplied too quickly. After full preheating, the steam flow shall be gradually increased.
